King Benjamin gave to his people when he knew that he would soon die. He taught his people about the Atonement and about their need to repent. This speech was so powerful that all of the people who heard it experienced a change of heart. By studying the things that he told them and the reactions of the people, we can learn what we must do if we are to have a change of heart ourselves. They are to Learn about Christ and his commandment. Have faith in Christ, believed in the power of his atonement, and wanted to repent of your sins. Being forgiven through the mercy of the Lord, feeling peace and joy. Make covenants that you will keep the commandments and do good for the rest of your life.
As your testimony grows you have a constant change of heart. As you learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this is true my husband has been taking the discussion and hanging out more with members of the church and I have his heart soften and him become more Christ like. Before this change he was a wonderful person and the Gospel and it's teachings have made him even a better person. I am waiting for the day he commits to be baptized and enters into the waters of baptism. Then with this change in heart for us to be sealed as a family for time and all eternity.
