Lesson 26: Repentance one the most wonderful principles of the Gospel. The lesson shares a quote from President Spencer W. Kimball declared: “Since the beginning there has been in the world a wide range of sins. Many of them involve harm to others, but every sin is against ourselves and God, for sins limit our progress, curtail our development, and estrange us from good people, good influences, and from our Lord” (Faith Precedes the Miracle [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1972], p. 174).
Because this world is full of sin at one time or another we will all commit sin and Our Father has given us the gift of repentance. This is the ability to ask forgiveness. If we are sincere in our repentance process then we can be forgiven.
