Young Women Manual 3 Lesson 10: Encouraging Enjoyable Family Activities

This handout is for Lesson 10 Encouraging Enjoyable Family Activities. Taken from the lesson, The First Presidency has given us some specific counsel about the time we spend together as families: “Meet together often, and share the problems and successes of the day. Plan your work and activities together so that each person may do his share and contribute to a happy family. We promise that as you do this and as your family members regularly pray together, sing together, read and discuss the scriptures together, and share their testimonies with each other, love and harmony will increase in your home” (Personal Commitment [family home evening manual, 1979–80], p. v).
I thought this was a great lesson, we love to do things as a family we do things from play games to take a ride and watch TV. There are so many things you can do as family. Last year for my daughter's birthday she wanted to go to the zoo in February in UTAH!!  It was freezing cold we knew we would love to go again when it was warmer. So we figured out the price between getting a season pass to the zoo and paying each time.  It was cheaper to get the pass so we bought a season pass.  We went to the zoo several times during the year. It was something we could that we all enjoyed and since the pass was paid for we could even go if money was tight!  It was a great experience to share all those memories with the kids.

This handout is made using the kit Spike It! you can find the kit here.
