Young Women's Freebie~Manual 3 Lesson 4 "Preparing to become an Eternal Companion"

This weeks YW handout freebie is from the Young Women Manual 3 Lesson 4 lesson "Preparing to Become an Eternal Companion".  The lesson talks about the importance of learning to turn to God and the principles of the gospel you have learned. You can download the handout here. This hand is made with the Families are Forever found here.

President Spencer W. Kimball said: “Young women should plan and prepare for marriage and the bearing and rearing of children. It is your divine right and the avenue to the greatest and most supreme happiness” (Ensign, Nov. 1978, p. 103).

President Kimball also counciled President Spencer W. Kimball said: “I tell young women … that they should do all in their power to make themselves attractive physically in dress and grooming, mentally in being knowledgeable on many subjects, spiritually in being responsive, emotionally in being genuine and worthy” (“Marriage Is Honorable,” in Speeches of the Year, 1973 [Provo: Brigham Young University Press, 1974], pp. 261–62).

I think the hardest thing about being a grown up is realizing that life is not like the shows you watch on TV life is not perfect things don't always work out perfectly or sometimes not even like you thought they would. That is why this lesson is so important to remind us that when life is not "perfect" you can turn to your Father in Heaven and he will guide you through the hard times. He will give you the answers you need to make your life the best it can be!  Council with Him all your decisions big or small and accept His answers.

The Young Woman's theme for 2011 is the 13th Article of Faith. Erika create d a handout for you! You can download it here

13   We believe in being honest, true, chaste. benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The theme was made using Erika's Celestial Values found at Faith Sisters.

Relief Society VT handout - January

Erika will be creating handouts each month to go along with the Visiting Teaching message for the month you can download the handout here!  You can get the visiting teaching message here.

The message for January is about Our History and the importance completing our visiting teaching each month.  Sister Beck  said  “A sister in this Church has no other responsibility outside of her family that has the potential to do as much good as does visiting teaching.”   Sister Thompson teaches that visiting teaching “is more a way of life than a task.”  We are encouraged to be friends of the sisters we visit to be there for them and help them when needed. If we are not friends with those sisters the Lord has asked us to visit how will they be able to come to us for the help they need.  Be friends with those you teach!

Remember, we are not only blessing ourselves when we do our visiting teaching we bless those that we teach!
